Next Steps kit

This is my kit for Next Steps.  It is the perfect size to fit small envelopes and there is some room for extra items like a pencil case and index cards.  It works okay but I may still tweak it.

This link takes you to the NASET (National Association of Special Education Teachers) site where there much information to assist teachers in the IEP process. 

There is also a ppt from this website on how to write a comprehensive report:

This information in this ppt is very detailed and would be a great help to anyone new to the report-writing process.
Dynamic Learning Maps

This is a great resource for those looking for an alternative way to assess students with disabilities that aligns with Common Core Standards and challenges students at their level.  This website is for students and parents, educators, policymakers, and researchers.

NICHCY is a wonderful resource for understanding disabilities and how to best serve people with disabilities.  This link is to the section on accommodations and provides a concise overview of different types of accommodations and how they might work for students.  There are also links to specific topics with more detailed information.
